Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation receives $75,000 in grant awards to help fund Wallace Cancer Institute

Thanks to generous support from The Blanche and Julian Robertson Family Foundation and the Margaret C. Woodson Foundation, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation is one step closer to creating a state-of-the-art cancer institute in Salisbury, NC.

In 2018, NHRMC Foundation launched a $12 million capital campaign to support the construction of the Wallace Cancer Institute, which will enhance patient care, improve accessibility, increase affordability, enrich care coordination and provide cutting-edge cancer prevention and treatment services close to home.

The Blanche and Julian Robertson Family Foundation awarded $50,000 in funding to support the new cancer institute, and the Margaret C. Woodson Foundation awarded $25,000.

Construction of the new cancer institute will begin April 30, 2019, and leadership anticipates beginning to accept patients in the fall of 2020.
