Here Comes the Sun

You can bring sunshine and good health into the homes of new families this year. Please join us to ensure new mothers don’t feel isolated and alone. Your help is needed more than ever so Family Connects Nurses can continue to support moms and babies in our region.

Through Family Connects, 2,000 families a year are offered guidance and advice so their babies have a healthy start to life.

Hats, if you please!

Ginger, Heather, Leigh Ann & Skyler

Additional details below:

Many thanks to our Benefactor sponsors Reynolds American and Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes, and to everyone for purchasing tables, tickets and donating items. Special thanks to chair Leigh Ann Janjua and the committee.

The Garden Party, originally scheduled for March 20, 2020, is being rescheduled to June 19, 2020. This event is our signature fundraising event, and we have made the decision to move forward in a digital format by using Zoom. All proceeds will support Family Connects, a program which supports hundreds of new mothers and their babies every year. Registered nurses make home visits to new mothers in Forsyth and Davidson counties, connecting families with countless community resources.

Anyone who bought a ticket or sponsored a table will receive a Zoom link.

  • Individual tickets are still available for $75.
  • Silent auction items and mystery bags will be available on OneCause starting on June 13. Registration info will be forthcoming.
  • The committee will select one raffle item to be drawn on June 19.

Give care. Give hope. Give now.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced us into a fierce fight. Our healthcare professionals across Novant Health are suiting up every day ready for battle, rising up as heroes to serve our communities in their time of greatest need.  While our eyes are on our patients, we know many of our team members are dealing with personal hardships at home. During this pandemic, our physicians, nurses and support teams are being asked to go above and beyond their usual responsibilities. They are facing increased child care expenses, additional sick days and spouses who have lost jobs. Their ability to care for our community is critical, which means we have to do everything possible to meet their most pressing needs.

We ask you to join us today. Give care, give hope and give now.

Your contribution will provide resources to ensure we have medical supplies and staff support to take care of our patients and team members during this coronavirus pandemic.

The reality is this: the coronavirus is a new healthcare challenge, and we are still learning how to defeat it. Hundreds of patients are being screened daily, straining both medical resources and staff. We must be ready for whatever lies ahead. Your support will help Novant Health continue to provide the lifesaving care our community needs.

Please consider a gift today to the Hope for Remarkable Team Aubergine Fund (formerly the Novant Health COVID-19 Disaster Relief Fund). You can help us continue the important work of saving lives.

2019 tournament info

The 21st annual John Campbell Memorial Golf Classic raised $130,000 for the Wallace Cancer Institute on the campus of Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Event highlights

The event, hosted by the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation, along with presenting sponsors Vannoy Construction and Facility Systems Services, Inc., drew over 275 participants, a record for the tournament.

Each dollar raised from tournament proceeds will be added to the foundation’s $12 million capital campaign for the Wallace Cancer Institute. We currently are at 72% of our goal. Once completed, the center will contain all current cancer services in one convenient location.

This year a par three tournament was added the night before the big tournament.  More than 40 golfers competed on the last 9 holes of the Country Club of Salisbury followed by an evening cookout.
