Remembering Cindy Jarrett-Pulliam
Cindy Jarrett-Pulliam, our beloved former vice president and chief nursing officer at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, passed away last November after a courageous fight with thyroid cancer.
Well-known among the nursing staff for regularly suggesting they advance their education, Cindy was honored by the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation, which set up a fund in her name during National Nurses Week in 2018.
The Cindy Jarrett-Pulliam Nursing Excellence Award provides financial assistance to nurses who are advancing their education. During her learning years, Cindy was helped by many people, with everything from textbooks to tires for her car. She wanted other nurses to have the same resources she did. To date, six nurses have received the scholarship and are very grateful to follow in Cindy’s footsteps in the profession they love.
