Novant Health nurses are moving up
Novant Health encourages the advancement of team members through our Upward Mobility RN Scholarship program, which provides certified nursing and medical assistants with the financial support they need to become nurses.
Marci Caceres is on her way to becoming a cardiac nurse, thanks to a scholarship from the Upward Mobility RN Scholarship program. A native of Guatemala, she came to the United States with a dream of working in healthcare. She earned an associate degree in health and science and became a certified medical assistant in 2016 — the same year she started work at Novant Health OB/GYN Urgent Care in Charlotte. She aspired to become a cardiac nurse and applied for a scholarship, which would not be possible without support from our generous donors.
“I am so blessed,” Caceres said. “That scholarship put everything in place. Without it, this would have been very difficult.”
Now, the Upward Mobility RN Scholarship program has welcomed its third cohort of aspiring nurses. The group includes:
