Memory Makers Café
Do you know someone who has suffered from dementia? If so, you’re aware that the dementia journey can be very isolating for both patients and caregivers. More than 5 million people are living with dementia in the United States.
Memory Makers, a memory cafe sponsored by donors to Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation, is run by Novant Health Memory Care Clinic. This free monthly program gives caregivers and their loved ones a place where the disease is left at the door.
Every month, Memory Makers offers a chance for participants to gather, make memories, laugh, connect and unwind. There is a structured program and time for caregivers to support each other during this challenging time. Past events have featured ornament decorating, dancing, planting herbs and listening to music.
