Jane Burt Williams Classic canceled
In the interest of preserving public health as North Carolina enters Phase 2.5, the fourth annual Jane Burt Williams Memorial Classic has been canceled.
Novant Health and Novant Health Foundation remain dedicated to maintaining the safety and well-being of all event participants, team members and sponsors while working every day to flatten the curve.
“We are grateful for the continued support of the community,” said Payton Williams, Novant Health development program coordinator and granddaughter of Jane Burt Williams. “While we wish we could host a safe and enjoyable tournament this year, our team will continue to advocate for remarkable care in the Thomasville community.”
Proceeds from this year’s golf tournament were earmarked to support the wellness and education center at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. Sponsors have the option to donate previously allocated or verbally committed dollars to this effort. An updated tax receipt will be mailed out within two weeks to document that no goods or services were exchanged for this donation.
To show our appreciation, all donors and sponsors will be thanked on our website and social media platforms. In light of the economic impact COVID-19 has had on the community, we will refund the registration or sponsorship fee upon request. Donors and sponsors are encouraged to mark their calendars for next year’s tournament, which will be held on October 1, 2021.
Thank you for supporting Novant Health and Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation.
