Our team at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation is taking time to reflect and connect with our incredible Children’s Trust donors who keep our mission to serve the health and wellness of children alive.

Meet The Hemby Heroes
Connor was diagnosed with intestinal malrotation and volvulus at 4 months old. His family was blown away by the care he was given by his doctors and nurses at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital. Connor and his parents consider the staff to be family and are endlessly grateful for the comfort, positivity and hope they received during the most troubling time of their lives.
Emely was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia at 5 years old. Emely’s parents and family said the care Hemby Children’s Hospital provides makes you feel like you’re at home, not at a hospital. Her stay has been the best possible experience, even throughout the inherent challenges of treatment.
Kaden Kukla
Two-year-old Kaden was diagnosed with TEF (tracheoesophageal fistula and tracheomalacia). His parents can’t believe how far he has come since they spent 169 days in the NICU. He is now eating solid foods, growing the best head of hair and developing his own personality — all made possible by the unbelievable care given at Hemby Children’s Hospital.
