Even before pursuing obstetrics and gynecology, Dr Tiffani Jones knew she wanted to devote her career to women. “Women perpetuate knowledge,” she said. “If you tell a mother or sister or an aunt something, they're frequently going to share that with their community or their village. I felt like I could do the most good for my community as an OB-GYN.”

How Giving Helps Healing

Newborn Care Packs

Essentials for families in need

When parents come to their first pediatrician appointment for their newborn, we ensure they have the basic items they need for a healthy start, including thermometers, saline, bulb syringes, nail files, vitamin D supplements, iron supplements, and more.

Transportation Support

Ensuring access to crucial postnatal appointments

Transportation to and from the many appointments following delivery are so important, but can be a barrier to mom and baby getting the care they need. We are working on supporting greater access to transportation for our moms and babies in need.

Enhanced Food Security

Nourishing moms and babies

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists shares, “eating well is one of the best things [women] can do during pregnancy.” Our Novant Health team has a goal to screen 85% of all maternal and infant patients and make appropriate referrals to support families with food and other community resources.
