To our Campbell supporters,
Thank you for your continued support through these challenging times. I am writing to let you know that after much consideration and under the direction of our Novant Health Rowan Medical Center leadership and medical team, we have decided to cancel the John Campbell Memorial Golf Classic and the Harold C. Earnhardt Memorial Par 3 Tournament. Novant Health stands by our commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of all partners, team members and supporters. While we are saddened to not be able to meet in person, we look forward to welcoming you back in the spring.
All proceeds from this year’s golf classic were earmarked to assist Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation’s breast health fund. The fund provides underinsured and uninsured men and women in Rowan County access to lifesaving care. Individuals have a 98-100% five-year survival rate if breast cancer is found early and treated appropriately. The pandemic has shifted priorities, caused new financial restraints and resulted in individuals putting their health needs on hold, but breast cancer didn’t stop. The need for funding is greater now than ever. Make a gift today to support these lifesaving screenings.
Sponsors who have donated or verbally committed will have the opportunity to apply their sponsorship dollars to serve our community through the breast health fund. Sponsors and individual registrants who donate their fees will be acknowledged on our website, as well as on all social media platforms. An amended tax receipt will be mailed out within a few weeks to reflect the change that no goods or services were received for this donation and the funds will be used to serve the people of Rowan County. However, we are also able to refund sponsorship or registration fees to those who request we do so.
Thank you again for your ongoing support for providing remarkable care in our community. Please save the date for the Harold C. Earnhardt Par 3 Tournament on May 5, 2022 and the 25th Annual John Campbell Memorial Golf Classic on May 6, 2022.
