Novant Health is first in the Carolinas to offer histotripsy for liver cancer

With a successful treatment in November, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem became the first hospital in the Carolinas to offer Histotripsy, a non-invasive method to destroy liver tumors without surgery. The ablation technique uses high-intensity ultrasound waves to shatter tumor cells while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues. Patients typically return home the same day or the following day.
