The Health Education and Wellness Center campaign
The Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation has launched a campaign to create a Health Education and Wellness Center on campus to expand current programs and meet the needs of our community as defined in the Davidson County Community Health Needs Assessment Study.
The first step is acquiring an adjacent 18,000 square foot building, 3.5 acres of land and an additional 125 parking spaces. This property is located at 203 Old Lexington Road in Thomasville, NC. The foundation will secure the building and property from current foundation assets.
These facilities will include: cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, occupational medicine, diabetes education, and an intensive outpatient behavioral health clinic. Additionally, health education and wellness classes will also be offered to the public. The project will also include a demonstration kitchen for newly diagnosed diabetic patients as well as health and nutrition classes for the public.
The Wellness and Education Center will personalize patient-centered care, improve accessibility, increase affordability, and enhance care coordination. This effort will help ensure that Thomasville Medical Center remains a strong and vibrant institution that will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of patients in Davidson County and the surrounding communities.
The purchase and renovation of the building would not only provide expanded space for the above mention programs but would allow for the backfiill of space in the medical center for the expansion of surgical services, the breast center and space for other support services.
Your donation to our campaign will help us achieve these goals and, most important, help us improve and save lives across our community.
