Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center Hosts its First Guardian Angel Pinning

Donald Jackson, a patient at the Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center Rehabilitation Center, recently showed his appreciation for Erika Sierputowski, physical therapist, and Jenepher Zamora, RN, by honoring them with a Guardian Angel pinning ceremony – the first ever at NHECMC!

During the ceremony, Donald shared that “Thanks for your help. Your true concern for my rehabilitation and motivation inspired me and gave me the tools I needed to succeed. I have never met a more personable group of professionals; I will never forget the experience.”
Leadership from the South Carolina Coastal region, NHECMC and Novant Health Foundation were all there to celebrate and recognize Erika and Jenepher.
This gift through Novant Health Foundation will support Novant Health programs and initiatives that expand, enhance and accelerate our mission in building a healthier community for our Charleston area patients and team members.

The Guardian Angel program is available in all our markets and is a way for patients to thank those team members who make it easier for them to focus on what really matters – getting better and staying healthy.
When patients want to express their gratitude in a meaningful way, a gift of any amount can be made through our Novant Health foundations to honor that team member as a Guardian Angel. Team members are recognized in a pinning ceremony where they receive an angel pin to wear on their badge.
Gifts help Novant Health achieve its mission of improving the health of our community, one person at a time, while also honoring the medical team that provides remarkable care. Click here to learn more about the program.
